The Sunday Night Dread

Sigh.

I hate Sunday nights, the weekend is over and all that lies between me and the start of a new working week is an hour of mindless tv, a bath and dinner.  Why does the weekend go so quickly?

I've decided that I'm going to try and get to a spinning class before work as it seems to be the only free time I have, unfortunately it does mean getting up at 6am.  Hmmmm.  I've hardly done anything this weekend, chilled out Friday night, saw the boy for lunch yesterday, worked last night, breakfast and papers with the boy this morning, lunch with a friend, a drink with another friend and her boyfriend, trip to Tesco and now I'm home.  Life must get more exciting than this........

This is going to be the most boring blog ever if nothing inspiring happens to me anytime soon.

And if Mondays weren't bad enough, from tomorrow it has been decided that we need to wear a new staff uniform - an ugly beige nothing coloured polo shirt.  I work in a marketing department of an international company - why why why would they make this a mandatory part of our uniform?? Up until now we've had regular office dress with dress down Fridays - much better.  Ive bought a massive black batwing cardigan to wear on top of it in the hope that I can cover as much of it up as possible, they're also mens sizes which means they are massive and square shaped.  I'd like to orchestrate an accident with bleach or scissors or both but they'd just make me pay for a replacement.  Wearing something that bad is one thing but having to pay to wear it is even worse.

Today I have been...

Wearing - Black uggs, a pair of my oldest jeans and a cosy grey hoodie.

Eating - French toast and bacon for breakfast at the request of the boy - there go my points out the window for another day, fruit and yoghurt for lunch and havent decided on dinner yet.

Watched - Piers Morgan interview Simon Cowell, surprisingly good.

Played - Sonic and Mario on the Wii and then kicked some ass at table tennis.

Read - This months Cosmo and new edition of Weightwatchers magazine to try and get some of my motivation back!

Enjoy whats left of the weekend xx

Its Friiiiday : )

And thank god for that.  I love the feeling of shutting the door on a Friday night when I have no futher immediate plans than food, a bubble bath and some quality time with my couch and sky planner.  Tonights viewing pleasure includes Greys Anatomy, Skins, Biggest Loser, What Katie Did Next and of course Lost which just confuses me!

I keep seeing adverts for Cougar Town with Courtney Cox, another one to add to my ecclectic viewing choice.  On the subject of TV, how good is Glee??  I was all about Mr Schuster until I saw Puck singing Sweet Caroline - I'm now a convert, mowhawk and all.  And when is Gossip Girl back?? I feel old when I watch Gossip Girl and 90210 and I'm more attracted to the dad characters than I am the younger ones, although Ed Westwick I so would.

Today I have been....

Wearing - Brown Uggs, jeans, a navy tee shirt and a thick navy and cream striped cardigan.

Eating - no breakfast, ham salad roll and a packet of French Fries for lunch, Steak salad with spinach, butternut squash, brocolli and tomatoes followed by a glass of fresh orange.  Also too many Quality Street to mention but when the box is gone its gone so thats fine - not counting points today as it will just depress me!

I also self diagnosed myself with an iron deficiency due to how horribly tired I seem to be all the time - you could also put it down to being lazy, staying up too late, working two jobs or being stressed - however low iron means I got to have that yummy dinner full of all the things that are meant to help!

Have a great weekend

Random Thought

I read today that there's only one underground station in London that doesnt have a letter from the word badger in it.....

Introduction

I recently read that the best practice for writing is to write for someone else to read, in short - a blog.

Okay, I can write a blog, but what exactly am I going to write about? The easiest thing is to write about my life I guess, not that exciting or interesting but its a subject I know a lot about!

I want to write a book, I love writing and I love reading.

I've been on weightwatchers for about a year, am now 9 stone 10lbs and want to lose another 10lbs to get to goal - expect a lot of weight related ramblings and details of what I'm eating (incidentally Ive just eaten a curly wurly and 2 Quality Street)

I have great friends, all at various stages of life. One gets married in 14 weeks, one just had her second baby, one is buying a house with her boyfriend and one may or may not get married in Vegas this summer.

I'd like to be tidier, more fashionable (I'm a bit of a scrub day to day with my only concession to glamour being on nights out) I'd love to be one of those girls with a perfect wardrobe, who went to the gym before work, then rocked up before 9am looking like they just stepped out of a fashion magazine.

My mum is demented, she emailed Max Clifford to be her agent based on the idea that she's got to be more interesting than Kerry Katona and in fairness she probably is. However since she spends most of her time running a cafe on Facebook I dont think she'll have much call for his services.

My lovelife is complicated, far more than it should be.

Today I have.....

Been wearing - black cardigan uggs, black trousers and a black and red striped jumper which I think makes me look like Freddy Krueger. I actually looked over my shoulder as I typed that, you know, just incase he was there - and now I'm scaring myself. Moving on..

Eaten - Porridge with raisins, Salad roll, packet of square crisps, cereal bar, roasted butternut squash with stirfried vegetables and Quorn Chicken (which went in the bin after one bite - yuck) 10.5 points (I'm allowed 17) Then take into account the curly wurly and the quality street and I've probably gone way over. Meh

Watched - Currently watching The Biggest Loser and waiting on Grey's Anatomy to start.

Read - The Dating Detox by Gemma Burgess. I'm reading it for the second time and its so good. Go and buy it, its well worth it.

Okay, thats enough of an introduction. I'm going to make a cup of tea, fill in some more parts about me on my blog and find ways to make it pretty! I will endeavour to write some nonsense every night!
